Devlog - We're back! (with a new friend)
Hey everyone!
The past few months have been crazy busy, but I'm really happy to finally sit down and share what's been going on with Solace Creek.
The big news first: Solace Creek is being published by Monster Theater! I'm so happy they saw something in my vision and it's genuinely been amazing to work with everyone on the team. Here's an announcement trailer showcasing some never before seen content:
Earlier this year we ran a closed playtest, and it was really valuable. A lot of the content I've been working on for the past months has never really been tested by players and I was kinda anxious to get feedback on how it all was received. And I think people really connected with it. The demo only gives you a glimpse of the feel of the game and I think the playtest was a much deeper insight into other aspects of the game, which is why it was a bit nerve-wracking to finally show it to other people. One thing that really came up in the playtest was pacing. The demo builds tension all the way until the faceoff near the end, and I felt like after all that intensity, players needed a moment to breathe. I've always believed you need that contrast to really feel the highs and lows, but I'm curious: is that something you prefer, or do you like being on the edge of your seat the whole time?
The game is now roughly halfway done, and it feels more like itself than ever before. Which brings me to the updated demo, which is live right now! The content is the same as before, but the whole thing feels a lot more polished. I think if you already played the demo you'll immediately spot the differences :D
As always, thanks for your continued support ♥️

I think a balance of both is nice. Also, it's so nice to see this game finally getting an update and even getting some progress too. Can't wait for it to drop
