Hey! I'm super interested in this, do you know if its compatible with the visustella plugins? I have a whole bunch of those in my game and i'm not sure if it will have conflictions or not given its something that appears in the main menu :0
Hey hey!
Sorry it's hard to tell since I don't own the Visustella plugins in question 🙈But I can provide some support in case there are issues.
Well, i guess someone has to test the theory lol. if it ends up unusable and you can't make it work ( since visustella's plugins are encrypted and there's not much of a way to figure out exactly what's causing conflict ) am i able to request a refund if i decide to?
I probably won't since yours is so cheap, i didn't bother with the last plugin I bought that wasn't compatible, and it cost 3x as much as yours, but its a question worth asking if someone else is reading :P
Also, is the default set to match the rest of what you've got for your main menu, or does it automatically look how it does in the preview?
Sadly itch.io doesn't offer a straightforward refund process, you'd have to contact their support to initiate it https://itch.io/t/129454/how-are-refunds-handled
The plugin on its own looks like in the preview screens without any additional plugins needed.
Ah i see, I probably wouldn't be bothered to anyway i just wanted to know if you specifically had a policy on that sort of thing prior to purchasing.
Does the plugin allow for easy editing? or is everything hard coded in and can't be easily changed? like moving the category titles to the top horizontally and having JUST the icons without the rest of the boarders / defining-squares. would be nice to be able to have a book page // paper or solid background instead of the menu layout.
Originally I had wanted to try and set it up to look something like this. excuse how ugly and crude it looks i spent like 60 seconds making it xD
The categories just correspond to Items, Weapons & Armors. Currently there's no support for any custom objects or grouping.
The menu background is dependent on the Windowskin your game is using - so just like the RPG Maker standard menus, the plugin uses the project's windowskins.
This is pretty nice. Is it possible to have it added to the main menu too?
By default it's enabled in the Game Menu:
Excellent! TY for clarifying, Starlit.
Just bought this. This plugin doesn't seem to do anything...
Did you try the sample project?
Of course! That did work, but it seems like the plugin isn't compatible with the ItemCore plugin I'm using in my actual project
Sorry for the inconvenience. Could you go a bit more into detail what actually doesn't work? Does the Encyclopedia itself not show up? Do they items not unlock when the party receives them?
I cannot get any of the plugin commands to work and the scene call function just doesn't work no matter what I do. I've spent hours troubleshooting
Is it possible for you to share your project with me by uploading it to Onedrive or something similar? That way I can take a look myself. You can reach me at info.starlitstudios(at)gmail.com
