MVFinder 1.1 Update ✨

Today I rolled out a small update for MV Finder. With it you're now able to search your RPG Maker MV project for variables. The standard Event Searcher of RPG Maker MV already includes a variable search but it's nowhere as helpful as MV Finder!

With MV Finder you instantly see how your variables are changed without having to search through event code for hours!

This update is free for everyone who already purchased MV Finder.

Let me know if there are any other features you might find useful 😊

Nice to meet you.

Thank you for a great tool "MVFinder".

I have been using it since just after its release.
It's a good tool and I've featured it on my blog.

Have a consultation.
A search on my project yielded the following error and became unusable

No problem with new projects.
MVFinder is verified with v1.0 and v1.1.

I investigated and it occurred when I overwrote my project's MapXXX.json and MapInfos.json into a new project.
I looked at MapInfos.json and did not see any areas of data corruption.
If you can, I'd be happy to give you advice on how to solve this problem.

This is summarizes the data information and error logs.

Hey there!

Thanks so much for reaching out and featuring the tool on your blog :) Happy it has been helpful thus far!

Also thank you for providing the logs, I suspect there's something different about the MapJson that causes the problem. I'll investigate and let you know!

Could you try and download MV Finder again? I've updated the release to v1.1.1 with a bugfix that worked for me with the project you've provided.

The issue I found was that there are map files that aren't in the MapFiles.json
